Zellie is very happy in her new home. She jumps on our bed numerous times each night to confirm we are still there and to earnestly inquire whether we want to get up to play. She has swam in the lake, fallen in the pool, and chased countless tennis balls (all the while nervously loking out for the rumored snakes). She politely listens to - and selectively ignores - our many creative attemps to utter German commands. (Even a native speaking German Shepherd would find our pronunciations incomprehensible.) And Zellie is lobbying hard to strictly limit the number of "unters" Bridget is allowed to request each day.
We had a great time at the Ellis household and are still dreaming of blackberries, root beer and syrah. JDSP&B&Z
